As part of a university project, I designed and animated live visuals for a song called ‘Eraser’ by Ricky Montgomery.
This song is about embracing change and what life has to offer. The artist stated that “It’s an internal plea to let it all go and embrace myself and my life in whatever way it unfolds”.
Focusing on the theme of change, I created illustrations of things in nature that change, e.g. flowers growing over time and the process of metamorphosis.
I tore around these illustrations, and created animations of the crumpled paper unfolding, playing on the idea of embracing life, however it may ‘unfold’.
