RMH Wall Murals

I was on placement at Ronald McDonald House Edinburgh, over the course of 13 weeks.

The team at Ronald McDonald House wanted to make the accommodation more welcoming for families of sick children. With a wide range of family dynamics staying in their rooms, they were looking for something that would resonate with everyone.

I created a series of Scottish wildlife and mythology mural concepts designed to appeal to both adults and children. The animal families depicted different family structures, with varying numbers of parents and children, so that every family could feel represented in the murals.

Since all of their rooms are named after rivers, lochs, and isles of Scotland, I also illustrated a map mural showing where each of the room names originated, helping families connect with the places behind the names.
